Director of Merced County Behavioral Health and Recovery Services
Kimiko was born in a Thai refugee camp and grew up from the age of 3 months to adolescence in France. She immigrated to California as an adolescent. She has a passion for serving others and she is a social worker by education and training. She has a BA in sociology, Masters in social work, doctorate in social work and am also a licensed clinical social worker. She is married with a son who is now in college. She is passionate about our Hmong community and especially supporting Hmong women. She has been involved in local non profit boards to promote equity and support for our Hmong community including women and youth. She has worked for 22 years for county government and currently serve as the director of Merced County Behavioral Health and Recovery Services in California.
